The Right to Education is a fundamental human right. As students who struggle to obtain tuition-free, quality education and claim it is our basic right to receive it, we should stand in solidarity with those students around the world who fight against brutal oppression to receive the education that is just as much their right.

* Since September 2000, 803 Palestinian children have been killed by military occupation, 450 remain in detention, and over 300 schools have been damaged by the occupation and military attacks *The basic right to freedom of movement is denied to Palestinians. The apartheid wall, checkpoints, and settler-only roads often make traveling to and from school impossible or otherwise long and exhausting.
